Training
- Fully Accredited Training – Electro-Fusion Services (duration ½ day)
- Fully Accredited Training – Electro-Fusion Mains (duration ½ day)
Description:
To provide the knowledge and skills required to join polyethylene pipe safely
using Electro Fusion techniques.
Who would Benefit:
Services and Mains layers requiring Electro Fusion jointing skills, using
manual, semi and fully automatic machines.
Training Coverage:
On completion of the course, delegates should be able to:
- State the essential elements required to make successful joints using Electro Fusion methods
- Demonstrate the ability to join PE pipes together in line with industry standards
- Correctly set up Electro Fusion equipment ready for operation
- Correctly joint PE pipe to eliminate joint fault
- Demonstrate the ability to use various machines and tooling provided
- Apply a level of quality assurance to completed joints, to ensure suitability to carry water
- Carry out the Electro Fusion process in accordance with Health and Safety requirements
Training Information:
Course participants are requested to bring overalls and safety footwear.
Training Certification:
Successful candidates will be awarded a Utilities Operations Certificate.
Butt Fusion
Training
Fully Accredited Training – Butt Fusion (duration 1 day)
Description:
To provide the knowledge and skills required to join polyethylene pipe safely
using Butt Fusion techniques.
Who would Benefit:
Services and Mains layers requiring Butt Fusion jointing skills, using manual,
semi and fully automatic machines.
Training Coverage:
On completion of the course, delegates should be able to:
- State the essential elements required to make successful joints using Butt Fusion methods
- Demonstrate the ability to join PE pipes together in line with industry standards
- Correctly set up Butt Fusion equipment ready for operation
- Correctly introduce PE pipe into machines to eliminate joint fault
- Demonstrate the ability to use various machines and tooling provided
- Apply a level of quality assurance to completed joints, to ensure suitability to carry water
- Carry out the Butt Fusion process in accordance with Health and Safety requirements
